Had Some Warranty Work Done - FYI

2009 G37xS 27.5k Miles

I just had some warranty service work done and thought that I'd share:

1. ECM reprogrammed for all the transmission hell the 2009s have. Too early to say how well it has worked - seems much smoother, and the engine braking at 20-30mph is negligible now.
2. Replaced the trim around the gauge cluster as it was warping.
3. Replaced the upper radiator hose because it was very, very, very slowly leaking.
4. Replaced the weather seal around the drivers door frame as it was worn out.
5. They diagnosed a smell from the rear of the car that I was occasionally noticing as a plastic bag that got stuck up near the exhaust. They cleaned it out the best they could, no problem.

I brought up the chipping around the buttons on the steering wheel and got denied on that. The very nice tech told me he got the ok from his service manager to escalate to Infiniti cooperate, and then got shut down there. I wasn't holding out much hope, and I didn't put up a huge fight over it. He candidly told me to ask again when I come back next time, that Infiniti is inconsistent on how they treat that issue, and they may give the ok next time.

Mike Ward Infiniti in Denver gets a 4/5 from me, I'll go back.

Do you have the TSB # for this?
This is the current info from Jackal over on the transmission reprogram thread, but it looks like they're not applying it to 09s for whateverthefrikkin reason~
My dealer was nice enough to give me a copy of the bulletin. I won't photocopy it, but I will type most of it out.

2010-2011 G37 shift responsiveness issues.
ITB12-027 Released: 5/15/12
Engine VQ37VHR
2010-2011 G37 (V36/CV36)
7 speed tranny.

If you confirm one or more conditions.

1. Harsher than expected down shifts when coasting to a stop.
2. Hesitaion/lag when accelerating after coasting
3. Hesitation/lag or harsher than expected down shifts when coming to a stop and accelerating again (rolling stop).
4. Engine rev matching during moderate to heavy braking.
NOTE: This is normal ASC, adaptive shift control, operation that can be removed from the normal drive mode, but will remain in sport mode.

Action:
If this applies, reprogram the ECM and TCM

This looks like I only have page 1 of 10 so I don't know any more info than this.

If it was this TSB and they performed it on your 09 I'd definitely like to know.
Thanks!

Unfortunately I didn't ask, but my dealer invoice states "updated engine control module to most up to date version"
