I can't find this one in the manual --- WTH?
Was sitting and waiting to pick up our daughter from school today and noticed that with the engine off, but radio on, locking and unlocking the doors twice dims the nav display and climate control. If I press the brake then the displays come back up to normal brightness.
What is up with that? What's the reason or do I have a defect? |
It's just the car thinking that you're leaving it. It's like the "courtesy lights" or w/e. If you lock the door, the car thinks you left it, and it'll dim all of backlights. Same thing happens if you just sit there for a long time and do nothing: the car thinks you left it. When you tap the brakes, the electronics in the car think you've gotten back in the car or are ready to drive or w/e.
Not a big deal, don't worry, lol. |
However it's not on the first lock, but it takes a lock-unlock-lock to get it to do this. Not just a lock.
I also notice I've got a RR door lock that is about a second behind all the others. |
