I thought this would be a fun thread. Before I got the G I was looking at the 335i, at the time the recession was just picking up and while I really wanted the BMW--finances made me opt for the infiniti. I got an '08 preowned with 21k mi on it in 10/2010. I truly thought I would regret it down the road but I'm happier every day with my choice. A couple things bothered me initially coming from my 07 Lexus IS350 in regards to quality, but i feel the cons were more than made up for with pros and now I truly love my car.

And I should throw in that since then, business got a bit better for me and was I able to pick up an M3 coupe instead. It's my weekend baby, but the G works just as hard as I do during the week.

Let me also say to the 2 saying they were considering an M5. You would be insane to choose a G over an M5. I love me G, but the M5 is in a totally different league.

With my 07 I shopped a TL, C300, A4, GS350

With my 09 I shopped a TL, C350, A5 (used), GS350 (used), 135i

Still glad I chose the G again

Sure wish they'd improve this chip-happy paint though, the only real serious buzz-kill since I've just adjusted to my 7ATs issues.
