G37 Sedan Passenger Mirror Help

Smacked my mirror. My mechanic friend cut the heated wire to get the broken glass out. Thinking of replacing the whole mirror, rather than just the glass. Are the coupe mirrors the same as the sedan mirrors? I found a full coupe mirror for $50

Thank you,

It is. The Vert and coupes are the same but the sedan is different.
I might be able to get mirror for a sedan. At my Pull A Part its about $34 after tax. Not sure how much shipping would be.

I appreciate the help. My mechanic friend cut the wire to the heated mirrow. I probably on have used heat a couple times since I bought the car. I don't know why it appeared that you couldn't just slip the wire off. I could just get replacement glass for 20 or as you mentioned a oem,. I found a whole assembly for $60 I might just do that. I just have to move the plastic to the new assembly and have it installed. Prob around $60

Install is SUPER easy and only required a screwdriver and 10mm wrench. Should be able to find pic on here.

does anyone happen to know if the plastic connector is the same? my mechanic friend is suggesting that the heated and non-heated mirror would have a different connector. Don't want to buy the wrong mirror

Same 12-pin wiring connector (D33/ TH-12MW-NH) across all 3-variants of the G37.

Do you have to pull off the door panel to get to the connector?

Yes, the door panel must be removed to gain access to the mirror wiring and mounting connections. Luckily, panel removal takes all of 10min. if that.

Aren't the mounting points different between coupes and sedans?

Shouldn't be. The mirror still attaches to the corner support. The door panel still has to be removed along with the corner trim piece to access the three (3) nuts and the wiring connector:

SEDAN:

COUPE:

The distances of the holes look a bit different for corner door support.

The hypotenuse side of the coupe seems to be longer than the sedan.
The sedan look to be a right-triangle shape compared to the coupe's obtuse-triable shape.

Sorry if that's a weird way to compare.

Can the mounting base of the mirror be removed or change orientation?

man, i missed an opportunity to test this. there's a coupe and sedan g37 at the junk yard yesterday.

I wonder how different the glass is? I found a glass and I actually ordered it before finding out it was for the coupe and not the sedan. I know that the assembly is slightly different. I just checked online with Infiniti Orlando, it looks like the glass is the same. can anyone confirm that?

I ordered one off of eBay and then I ended up canceling my order.

Coupe wing mirrors won't fit sedans, based on the mounting bases. At least that was my deep dive when I was researching Q50 mirrors on the sedan.
