I've seen those wheels on a couple Zs but not on any Gs (that I can remember), the rears have a pretty concave spoke IIRC, what tire sizes are you running there?

Am I seeing things or are the rear wheels on the wrong sides? It looks like the spoke cant is opposite front to back. To my pea brain I assume that they should be 'laying back' to the direction of rotation, if that makes sense. Your fronts are doing that but the rears are laying into the direction of rotation.
I dont know that I've seen many wheels (if any) that offered both directions. Admittedly haven't looked hard so maybe they're somewhat common. That was always the problem I had with a directional appearing wheel though. Look good on one side but to me they always looked like it was rolling backwards on the other side.
If I'm just hallucinating, my apologies.

Those wheels are a puzzle. Makes you stare at them for a long time. But I think you're right... the rears are on the wrong side. My Vossens are directional, too, but a whole lot easier to figure out.

When you have a set of wheels with a left-right bias, and they're staggered front-to-back, then you end up with a car that has four different wheels at the same time. Kind of mind-blowing when you think of it like that.

hahaha. Thanks NW. They came labeled with which side to put them on. I made sure the tire guy followed the instructions . But I understand what you're saying - it's a puzzle and if I look at them long, I get confused as to what direction they should be facing.

First, look at your wheels as split 7-spokes, and not 14 spoke rims, where each split in the 7-spokes are parallel to one another.

Next, look at the center of the wheel, and follow your eye from the center to the back of the car, looking at the nearest split-spoke. If it's at the top of the hub, then it's swept back. If the spoke is at the bottom of the hub, then it's swept forward. Obviously you want them oriented the same way on the same side, swept forward or swept back... your choice. Personally, I think it looks better swept back, but there's no wrong decision.

Once you see it you can't un-see it. The split-spoke nature of your wheels makes it a little more difficult, is all. Next time you have the wheels off the car, grab a sharpie and put some indication on the backside of the center caps, like LF, LR, RF, RR... or whatever works to make it easy. Or just spell it out, LOL.

Damn attractive wheels, too. Very interesting.

Wonderful. Thanks for that Rochester... really. 🙈

Good suggestions though. I'm getting ready to go back to concave all around to go fender to lip on the drop and I'll keep this in mind.

I am on 245/45 in the rears and 235/50 in the fronts. I am planning to put 275/40 in the rear and move up the 245/45 in the fronts

Just got new wheels and blacked out all the trim, including trunk spoiler and front grille. I'm liking it. 😎 Wheels are 20" Velgen VMB5 in gunmetal. (20x9 and 20x10.5) Tires are 245 35 in front, 285 30 in the rear.
