Haven't posted in awhile, but here you go. Got a couple speeding tickets (one was very large) so had to take care of that.
To all my fellow North Carolinians, note that if you get caught speeding more than 80 in a 70, there is a chance you can lose your license. Didn't happen to me (thankful for lawyers) but just beware.

Also, if I go by what you are saying, they'll probably haul me straight to jail for what I do on a bike.. Ain't nobody got time for traffic.

NC will take your license for doing 10 over? I don't know anyone who does less than 15 over in Charlotte so that seems to be a little off..

Second, the rule is 15mph over the posted speed limit in NC, unless that speed limit is 70mph (the highest posted speed in NC). Then, it becomes 10mph over instead of 15mph because it is considered "reckless driving" (which I got as well). NC, along with Virginia, has some of the worst speeding laws in the country.
My first ticket got knocked down to improper equipment. My second ticket was worst. I got tagged with going 25 over in a 70mph zone and got reckless driving. I was coming back from the motorsports shop and was having too much fun on I-485.
Thankfully, these were my first offenses, so my lawyer got the ticket knocked down to 9mph over and got rid of the reckless driving. No points on the license/no change in insurance.
I got very, very lucky

Ok, so first off, the trunk spoiler is the one made by Stillen for G's with backup cameras. It's cheap plastic and mounts only with sticky tape. I wouldn't personally recommend it, I had to work with it a lot to get it to look how I wanted. If I had to do it again, probably would go OEM and get the one that uses screws.

Were you coming from SOHO? What did you have done? I just had them tune mine so I know the feeling..

I wasn't really watching my speed, and I think I was going faster at some point than what I was clocked doing. Needless to say, the cost of ONE ticket (with fees and such) is equivalent to the cost of a radar detector. My advice for anyone who enjoys "spirited" driving - get one.

Camera did align correctly. The button itself is in a bit deeper. Yes the spoiler did take a bit of constant readjusting with 2 people working on and around the trunk.

Yep, SOHO Motorsports it was. I had them install the Whiteline Diff bushings as well as service most of the fluids on the car. I have the 7AT and was trying to determine if my butt dyno could feel a difference in tightness in shifts/overall smoothness in the transmission (I was having clunking prior to this).

^ agreed to the above, i too have an Escort 9500xi and i will never drive without it. Living in the city the detector picks up a lot of erroneous signals but it definitely gets you to pay attention a little bit more.

Does it even help to have one anymore? I thought cops all use the instant-on laser stuff now? I've been considering getting one but I just dont know if its useful anymore.
