Fantastic upgrade! I'm considering doing exactly this. Do the sport G37xS models also have different side skirts?

I recently got a stelar deal on a bone stock '09 G37x and I, like you, am in the process of outfitting it. The R2C CAI goes on this weekend, and last weekend was the paddle shifters. Really looking into the Akebono BBK, but I'm a little worried about 10mm. Never done any sort of car work myself, before, so I'm just getting my toes wet and I'm not sure how much margin is comfortable. Would you suggest spacers?

This thread is all WIN! Nice job on the BBK, I've been lusting after one for a while now! Great execution of the Akebonos!

i do not know if xS models have different side skirts. front bumper is definately different from non sport.
09 sport 18wheels won't clear akebonos for sure.
ONLY +10 18inch sport wheels do clear. I will never run spacers. I rather get the correct wheels fitment to avoid spacers. but if your budget is low for new wheels, spacers will help to clear bbk & give you better stance.

Thanks bud!
after 7 months and 16,000 miles of driving with G37xS, i am still in love with the car. a lot of mods of course, the best mod is Akebono upgrade, Berk HFC and UpRev tune.

I have been searching and searching for Hours, and was curious... I just picked up a 2010 G37xS sedan anniversary edition, red seats. I am looking for some of the akebono sp? calipers, and some drilled rotors. If I can find something that fits. Or some similar brake kit. also should I go stainless lines at the same time? 50K on odometer. Thanks, and I will get a pic up someday. Thanks for any advice, along with a link.

Quite a few of the vendors on here do brake packages where you can upgrade.

take a look here:

Skip the drilled rotors and get blanks or slotted.

+1 on skipping the drilled. I went through Nick at KNS and picked up a nice set of DBA rotors.
