How to remove interior door panel?
hi, everyone,
I need to replace my side view mirror on the right side of my car(2010 G37 Sedan). In order to do that, I have to remove the door panel of the right front door. So far, I've only been able to find this DIY: https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-in...oor-panel.html but this DIY is based on a different model. I understand the basics are the same, but are there any different bolts I have to deal with? If you have done so, could you please give me some suggestions and tips? is Remove Tool some special tool that I have to buy? I think i can just use anything that works like it. Thank you! p/s: in case you wonder why i have to do this: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...francisco.html |
maybe this will help:

4 Piece Nylon Pry Bar Installer Kit
These tools should work. Plastic will help prevent scratches, and they're cheap. |
remove doro finisher
get a interior tool from autozone. i have a metal one, so i put a sock on the outside.

you can also use a flathead screwdriver with a cloth over it :D

Thanks to everyone!
Our G37 Sedan board is awesome! I asked this question on DIY board, and nobody had anything to say. Our board rocks! |
Hi, everyone, again!
I wanna replace part 5 from this photo: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6201/...0330f9dc_b.jpg However, the plug of the mirror wire(not shown in the above photo, but is shown in the next photo) is too big to go through part 5 and part 6: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6177/...daeb30b5_b.jpg guys, how do I dissemble the plug? I've tried many ways. |
ok, i figured out! Let me share it with everyone. There are about 9 pins in this harness. Each one is held by some fishhook in the harness. I used a needle tool to unhook the fishhooks to release the pins:
OBD0 ECU Pin removal - YouTube How to remove the pin from a Buell headlight wire harness - YouTube To assemble back, simply insert all pins back in. Make sure to write down the positions of the 9 pins before taking them out. And the pins are not upside down. hope this helps! |

Has anyone removed the door panel and disconnected the wiring? If so, why won't my driver side window roll up now? My passenger side works - driver side does't. I'm confused
