Hey, with the LE, there's not much reason to "make it your own". When you own a car that only a few hundred people in the world have, I'd say that doesn't give me a whole lot of initiative to do anything to make it more special.

I MIGHT contemplate a drop, but not in the immediate future..

Can't really make out the Malbec unless you've got that light hit just right..

I just wish I could have the red seats. Apparently there are only 27 G37s with the 6MT for sale in the US at this moment...talk about crazy!!

You can get those rims with it actually, they are just a touring add on for the 9 spoke

Love the exterior color -- I've seen this in person and love it everytime.. very unique in a good way.

The interior would get old on me, but I like how it "pops"

I wish I lived in an area where I could have just bought the G37S .. not the xS..

Well, well...maybe Infiniti has been reading this forum? The 2012 sedan will now be offered with Malbec Black as a standard color choice (excluding G25, Limited Edition and Sport Appearance Edition). I think I'd be pissed if I purchased a LE for the exclusiveness of the Malbec paint.

So is it:

Or:

What color is the LE going to be? It seems like the LE or Anniversary has been a color that was only available on those models, and then the next year they rolled it in as a standard color.

Not quite sure what they will use next year, does it say?

The only things I dont like about the Malbec Black (and it might be all black paint in general) are the more obvious orange peel, and the fact that it seems very very soft. Could be unique to my car, I dunno, but those are my 2 gripes.

Im getting the car OptiCoat-ed in a few weeks, so that should help it stand up better to scuffs, marring, etc.

Other than that, love the car! Not sure how exclusive it is, but I bought it mostly for the interior that everyone is now jealous of I guess I was ahead of the curve, everyone told me I was nuts for wanting red seats. i actually want to add some more splashes of red in the interior somehow. Maybe adding a custom insert into the door panel (a la the LE vert, and IPL). Not a fan of the suede wrap over the aluminum because I actually like the aluminum.

Test drove a Corvette with 4LT package (i.e. every option PLUS a leather wrapped interior) and it was DAMN nice looking. I could only imagine if they leather wrapped the G interior.

Black Obsidian for the 2012 LE with a "new" graphite interior. So yes, you are still exclusive on the Monaco red interior!

I wonder if the "new" graphite interior does away with the always-cream colored pillar post covers and headliner. If it does I might need to see about getting new parts, I hate the fact that the LE interior is technically three colors.

New wheels and a drop would make it even that much more unique. One of only one in the world. Think of that. Red leather and something other than bland 9 spoke wheels. Now that would be a very limited edition.

Congrats SimpsonTide....Nice looking car. Maybe I'll get my 2010 G37X painted in Malbec Black (love the wine by the way), to correct the poor - thin paint on these cars. My Balck Obsidian scratches soooo easily it's Ridiculous. My 07 G35X did too.
