Does Analog Clock continue to display real time even when car is off?
With most cars that have digital clocks, one has to have the car on to see the time.
Does the G37 clock continue to keep time even when the car is off--i.e., does the clock continue to tick off seconds in real time when car is off? |
yes it does keep going

lol looking to buy a car or are a G owner? sort of a funny question
but welcome to the forums. |
Well, looking to buy. To be honest, I really dislike the analog clock. I much prefer digital. But I'm wondering if the analog has some advantages. Sounds like it does, one can get time even with the car completely off (no accessory mode or engine on). I still prefer digital though :)

y would you really sit in a car while its off? I guess if you do, it'll just be for couple of seconds. but agains thats just me.

I think the analog clock is the best part of the cabin. the purple light... is really nice.

Analog=class
welcome to the site BTW :) |

I can't tell if this is a serious question or a joke....If joke, pretty funny :icon17:. If serious- pretty sad. The infiniti has a thing under the hood called a "battery" (other cars use similar technology). This "battery" provides power to the clock when the ignition is off. |
I've always liked the look of the analog clock. Very classy.

The LCD screen has a digital clock but the car has to be on to see it.
The cool thing about the analog clock in the 2011 M is that it's shape mirrors the front grill; a rectangle with a curved top a bottom. |
I'm neutral about it, but I do like it from the standpoint that it is a brand hallmark. And hey, with so many digital clocks around me otherwise, it's nice to have one analog one somewhere so I can remember how to tell time with one. ;)

I like it; very classy and luxurious. A friend said Bentley has the same in their cars.
A lot of people kept asking me, "Why do you have two clocks? One analog and one digital." It never bugged me but then I wanted to rely on the analog rather than the digital so I turned off the digital one. |
Reading an analog clock can be hard to some people I guess. :)
I like mine a lot, I found the digital one redundant and just turned it off. |
