*FIX for high-pitch frequency noise*
#226
So I basically read all 15 pages.
So I'm thinking according to the problems I've been experiencing with my 08 G37S coupe, it is related to my ECM/ECU.
- High pitch frequency, mostly heard when applying gas.
- Sometimes car wont start unless I give it some gas.
- I dont know if this is related, but my car says that the keys aren't detected even when I have the key in the car. (checked and replaced batteries on both keys) both keys have same results.
So, My extended warranty ended back in June. So I'm guessing I may have to fork out lots of $$$ for this repair?
any feedback would be appreciated!

There are so many different ECUs, but I've narrowed it down to the supposed "countermeasure" ecu for mine to be 23710-1ND8C, which replaces 23710-1ND8A according to infinitipartsdeal. I have an '08 g37s w/o 4WAS, w/o NAV, w/o tech package,
Anyone in 2019 still experiencing this issue or have had it fixed recently? I'm probably S.O.L. getting this done for free, and it's 1g for the ECM alone, but I'm probably not going to get rid of this car any time soon, and I doubt this freaking noise will go away on its own...

The noise is coming from your throttles guys, this noise is the frequency the motors emit as they adjust your idle.
This is the noise you're hearing
Idle re-learn might help but I dont have faith in anything other than replacing throttles.

There have been results with idle relearns. Once I hook up Consult I'll confirm. I stand by throttles being the noise makers.

I used the video for noise reference. I have the same issue, when using a stethoscope the pinch comes from the throttles. They work on a specific frequency.

The ECU uses a 1KHz pulse width modulated signal to control the position of the throttle plate.
Here is an in-depth video using a throttle body from the G37:

The throttle body noise/whine is normal.
The ECU uses a 1KHz pulse width modulated signal to control the position of the throttle plate.
