New G37S Owner, Pics inside, opinions on mods welcome!!

So, I finally took the time to give my new daily driver a little bath and take some pictures. It's bone stock at the moment other than K&N drop in filters and 35% tint. I'm reaaallly up in the air on what I want my first actual mod to be. I'm torn between Injen CAI in black, Stillen Exhaust, or GTSPEC strut bar, subframe brace and 4 point subframe brace. Opinions? This is my daily driver so I don't want a loud and obnoxious exhaust system or jarring ride. I get that with my 240sx. Just for kicks I'll throw in pictures of my project car. 1989 Nissan 240sx, GT30R, S4 Cams, Greddy intake manifold, 420whp. Enjoy, and opinions welcomed! Included also is my last dragstrip run with said project car!

^ no and usually most shops will warranty it for lifetime and if it does yellow after its been on after awhile they should replace it for u under the warranty. its definitely worth it though.

Thanks man, going to look into that. Right now, I'm debating on getting the Injen Intake or the Stillen exhaust. I just can't make up my mind on which to get first!

Nice, a 6MT sedan! Thats pretty rare, very nice choice. I have the Injen CAI in black and i must say, the sound after 6k is intoxicating..

That's what I hear. Let me ask you this, how much increase in sound is it? I'm sure it sounds good, but is it overbearing? I don't mind loud and crude on my 240, but I'm trying to keep this as civil as possible while adding a little sound and hp.

IMHO, the G37 6MT is very sporty as is; I would leave it stock if it's your daily driver.

+2000 on the clear bra. Look into VentureShield. Guaranteed for LIFE (as long as I own the car) against bubbling, yellowing, peeling, etc. I had an issue with a small piece on my VS clear bra, and it was replaced no questions asked. No yellowing noticed, optically VERY clear. Last point, with spring being here now, bugs are a HUGE problem that will etch our clear coats in no time flat. A clear bra.....perfect protection. Had a TON of bug splatters after driving to work today, took my quick detailer and MF towel out of the trunk.....bye bye bugs. Spotless.

I also agree that the 6MT sedan is sporty enough as it is. I doubt the Injen is gonna be TERRIBLY obnoxious. But you could leave that car stock and love it just the same.

Have you noticed any difference in performance with the K&N filters? I've got the HKS filters in my G coupe and love them.....still wonder about the K&N if they'd perform better.

Madmax2k1, thanks for your input. KnoxvilleG37, about the K&N drop in filters. It's rather early for me to really tell if they made a difference. Maybe the tiniest in sound difference, but in power, the verdict is still out. The car has right at 500 miles on it and I have yet to redline it. I'm sure it's fine, but I'm trying to hold out until 1000 miles so I can beat on it some, change the oil to synthetic and call it a day. Also, I found a certified VentureShield installer about 2 hours from me. I'm gonna give them a call to find more out about the product and pricing. Thanks!

On average a front bumper, headlights, half hood, and half front fenders with VentureShield can run from $695-$750. Can be more expensive in some areas. They can also do your side mirrors and they also offer a whole hood option (of course, at a higher cost).

And I'd recommend the full hood. IMO, the line (though barely visible) is still visible, and on a white car, crud will slowly start to show under the edge. It's more costly because its more area, but also because they don't usually have pre-cut sheets like they do for some of the partial clear bras.
