Hood latch adjustment possible?

Hello all. Today, I noticed my hood (OEM and no accidents before) sits a little bit higher than what I would expect it to be normal. More specifically, the gap between the front bumper and the two headlights seems larger than normal. Please see attach pictures for details (circle in red).

Is this normally how our 2012 G37xS coupe's hood sit? If not, are there any adjustments that can be done so that it sits more flush with the top of the bumper and headlights?

If possible, I would like the hood lip to be lower by 1-2mm so that the gap is more flush with the bumper.

Thanks in advance.

*PS --> please excuse the dirt, dead bugs, and general unkept appearance. Just came back from a 600 mile road trip where fireflies took the brunt of the damage. Millions of fireflies made the highway look like it had "Pyerflies" from Final Fantasy X and it was beautiful!

Never mind, I figured it out.

Remove the plastic covering on the latch itself (attached to the hood on both sides). Then, turn latch to right or left to shorten or lengthen it.

You can turn the rubber stoppers on the hood to adjust

Thanks, at first that was what I did. It did not make a difference. However, adjusting the height of the latch fixed it.

Looks really good. Did you have to play with it several times to get it just right?

Yes I did. Just trial and error until the fit was flush. Took no more than 15 minutes for the entire process.

Just did this adjustment myself. The plastic plug and insert fell apart, but new ones are coming.

There are 4 main points of adjustments for this gap on these cars

The latching pegs will screw in and out for corner gaps
The rubber stops for corner gaps
The latches themselves for side gaps and alignment of the pegs
The center spring and metal bar where it rests on for center gaps
