Axle Leak?

Hey guys,

While bleeding my clutch fluid today, I notice a wet spot under the car. I think it may be my driver side axle?

I've never seen any drips on the garage floor before but the area is clearly wet.

Is this a sign that my axle is going bad? Do I maybe just need to tighten the bolt there? If so, anyone have any ideas on what the torque spec is?

Thanks in advance.

That's the steering rack tension nut. PS fluid weeps through somewhere and builds up around that nut. It's really common and doubtful there's a problem. Do not mess with it, just wipe it down, keep a weather eye on your PS fluid level, and check it out next time you're under the car.

You're very welcome. I had the identical concern about the steering rack some years ago.
