G37 Stock Exhaust vs Sport Exhaust

bubskie65 04-30-2019 01:25 AM

Thanks for the vid. Seems like it made a difference. did it bolt right up?

iampraneel 04-30-2019 02:02 AM

Yes it was bolt on

Sounds great. Big improvement.

What do you mean by "Sport Exhaust"? Did Infiniti offer an exhaust upgrade from the factory or from the dealerships on the Q60?

Fun video skills you have there, OP. What if you took your video stock and flipped back and forth four or five times, like every 5 seconds, with a quick fade between each? That would be cool, and maybe a great technique to show before/after.

Yup, I thought about getting this but went full CBE instead.

So it's an axle-back? What year did they start offering that?

I didn't know about this. There's probably a bunch of coupe lore I don't know.

There's one in the classifieds.
Itll sound even better.

Rollo 05-04-2019 09:58 AM

Sounds really good but not 800 dollars better to me.

i got it a few years ago and paid about $600 for it, even at $800 it would be worth it to me.

spock 05-04-2019 09:52 PM

It's pretty, it's pricey and it sounds great. It barks when you tromp it and is quiet when you're cruising - no drone! I got super lucky and bought mine used from a wreck for a song.

skrolz 05-05-2019 09:48 AM

I just recently installed this axle-back (found a brand-new one on ebay for $550). I got it to fit with my Autokits diffuser. It's gorgeous, "OEM," and sounds phenomenal. What more could you ask for (except a lower price-tag)?!

It sounds great, and it's surprisingly loud. When it roars, I'm like "this is an OEM option?!"

Dzionassi 05-06-2019 08:46 PM

Guys with oem sport muffler, did you check if it is straight through muffler? I really considering this if it is more performance orientated muffler..
No drone and straight through, this what i need ;)

Anyone? Nobody checked?

spock 05-08-2019 09:00 PM

Just how would one check?

2011G37IPL 05-08-2019 09:37 PM

That sport exhaust sounds really good. I have the Motordyne E370 exhaust paired with the ART pipes and it’s way too loud. I may switch over to something like this.

Try to run wire, or fish tape, or anything flexible from outlet to inlet, If it goes through, it is straight through muffler ;)

Nothing beats the G35 sound.

I also had this sport muffler on my Q60 6mt coupe. Didn't like it so I sold it. Also, the tips sticks out like a mother'fer

spock 05-16-2019 09:16 PM

The tips don't really stick out that much farther, it's just that they're friggin huge. You definitely notice them. But they sound great!

Hey I have the 2015 g37 3.7 sport version... and it’s already loud asf, I’m still learning call these aftermarket parts and stuff, so basically what I’m trying to get to, since I have sport version, there’s no point saving up for that motordyne exhaust and art pipe?

The axle-back that comes with the G37 Sport is the same regular axle-back that come on ALL the non-IPL G37s. THIS is the Sport Accessory muffler (confusing, I know). It's an option from Infiniti.

Ok thank you so much.

iampraneel 06-28-2019 11:34 AM

Are they still selling this exhaust?

BULL 06-28-2019 04:14 PM

Sounds and looks similar to the 370z nismo muffler made by HKS

I believe so. It's ~$800 from the dealership and Z1 motorsports, but I managed to find a NIB on eBay for $550.

part number: B0100-1NG26

Good luck!

p.s. I've read a few things saying this factory OEM option is made by Fujitsubo. It's identical to this one without the stamp on the tank:

ATHENSG37 07-01-2019 10:58 PM

Ill stick with my $260 manzo axle back. Sounds just as good if not better and it doesn't look like a muffler you'd find on a minivan, since its actually 2 seperate exhausts instead of that big factory honker.

carguy87 07-11-2019 01:04 PM

So this is what comes STOCK on the G37S correct?

That's what I have paired with Berk test pipes. It's pretty loud. I love it.

cshel777 07-16-2019 11:11 PM

It's not the stock sport I don't think
