Remove bracket behind grill

Has anyone done this and know the pros and cons of removing this? I have a takeda cold air intake and the bracket is covering a portion of my filter. I am mainly worried about structural integrity of the bumper after removing it.

I cut mine off. No ill effects at all. The grill stiffens it up once its installed. Cut away. Looks dumb blocking the intake
