Need advice

Hey guys I need help deciding what mod I should first do to my G.
The 2 mods I have in mind are
-HFC (most likely FI)
-Headers (unknown still)

What do you guys recommend?

Keep in mind neither of these will affect performance without a tune. I'd suggest you consider buying the UpRev tuning suite before you start purchasing anything else.

^ custom tune AFTER you put your mods on.

If you're buying off the shelf tune, doesn't really matter.

No one really does headers for their first mod. If you're down to do that, have you looked into longtube headers? Or Z1's 400HP package?

You will ABSOLUTELY benefit from HFC/headers without a tune, don't let them fool you. A tune will just maximize your results.

If you have emissions/smog testing, go with HFC, if you don't then get resonated test pipes. Getting headers over test pipes will maybe net you 7-10 more whp if you get a great dyno tune, e-tune would net even less. Our stock manifolds are actually very well designed so you tend to only see number chasers or actual track car guys grabbing headers. There are tons of other bolt-ons you can do before headers, just my opinion. Show some pics of your car man!

I might sell my brand new still in the box FI HFC pretty soon. Let me know if you are interested.

Motordyne released their headers recently. If I were doing headers that's what I would go with.

as Kris9884 mentioned, youll definitely get gains without a tune. Tuning will maximize your gains. If you intend to do a few boltons, and don't want to pay for multiple tunes, try to do it after all parts are on.

Thank you all for your recommendations. I'm probably most likely going to go with the HFC first and then go from there.

Yeah I've heard from numerous people that tuning is best when all mods are done. Thank you for your advise definitely helped! And here's a picture of my car.

How much would you be selling it for? And if you don't mind asking why are you considering selling it?

Get the tune after you have done all your mods, waste of money to do it before and then after. get the hfc

HFCs for the first win! You will definitely notice improvement before the tune.

HFC of course. Many people are disappointed on headers due to the minimal gains for the price. The header isn't the killer, but the labor is.

You may not even need headers depending on how you drive your car. There are better options.

IMO, I would go with admin tuning's long tubes. This requires a tune though. Most bang for your buck if you are looking for first performance mod.
