My car is making a metallic clicking sound from the front suspension when going up/down inclines, like parking lot entrances, undergrounds parking garages etc... It's not a thud, but a metallic sounding click. It's always on elevation changes, but does it rarely while flat in reverse with the wheel turned, usually one click (parking stalls). Approaching elevation changes I take at angles to due my height and you can hear 3-4 individual metallic clicks.

It's lowered on H&R springs, eibach sway bars (bushings are greased well), sport pack with the akebonno 14"s, brand new rotors and pads (noise before and after).

If I am next to a barrier or something where the sound can bounce off, I can hear a click as well.

I can hear one click when I accelerate and then I hear one more click when I decelerate. Looks like I will be replacing end links soon.

I would suggest disconnect the link (one side at a time) to confirm first before buying new links.

If link is torn you'll see grease around the area. I made a set of adjustable ones front and rear for 60 bucks

I like SPL end links. they have been excellent quality in my experience. you might check out the vendor section for who might sell them.

Well I checked my end links and all front suspension components last weekend but everything looked good, nothing broken or loose. The click I'm getting sounds like it's from the front passenger side area and I only hear it when going slow like 20mph in 2nd gear and hit the gas click then let off the gas click. It doesn't happen all the time though. Idk if it's anything to worry about or not. I only have 39k miles.

So I had the same thing. Did the sway-bar end link test (disconnected them). No dice.

Finally found it was my driver side tie-rod. Try this simple test. Go under car, grab of the outer tie rod end and shake it. If there is any kind of noise or play, it may be the outer tie-rod. Mine would slightly "clunk" as I shook it.

This weekend I took it off and realized the inner tie rod is rather weak, so I've got the parts to replace both outer/inner tie rods on BOTH sides of the car.

Point of reference:

• Outer Tie Rod: Moog $31 each; Infiniti: $95 each
• Inner Tie Rod: Moog $20 each; Infiniti: $141 each

Its amazing how inexpensive tie rods are and how much of a mark up is on these parts from the dealer. Also, look at the DIY on how to do these and you'll find that these are NOT hard to do. Just takes the right tools.

Good luck with your search but don't rule out the tie-rods (or sway bar bushings).
