Mine was really sticky as well, and if you touched it wrong or with something it would leave an indentation. It was very soft to the touch. I had an 08. Always garage kept when at home, but I live in Texas so if I'm out and about I can't fight the fact that I might not be under a shade. I wouldn't advise to use wd40, I think that's a bit risky. Seeing how gummy the dash would be I wouldn't risk it. It's the same problem the Altima's and various other Nissan vehicles have had with their dashboards.

I haven't had any issues with 2010 yet, but from reading similar posts I expect it in the future. Instead of trying to repair the gash, have you considered buying a dash cover? This suede cover looks pretty good, and other forum members have tried the one from autonotions.com for $46. Here's also the link to forum reviews...

you wouldn't use wd40 because your dash is gummy? and thats the risk? have you ever tried spraying wd40 on road tar or other sticky adhesives? it removes the gummy, sticky, stuck on grime. wd40 is not going to hurt your dash especially if you try it on a small inconspicuos spot. the worst thing that going to happen is not remove the adhesive from the dash because theres just too much adhesive seeping out of your dash.

I have a 09 with a cracked dash. Bought it new, garage kept. Less then 8 years old & 53,xxx miles on it. Nissan/infinity doesn't stand behind there product. Just a matter of time before there is a class action law suit. I have contacted different class action lawyers who have already handled cases against Nissan and won. I suggest everyone do the same. As well as contact Nissan headquarters in Franklin TN. Don't waste your time with there consumer affairs dept. They just try to keep you from contacting the people at the headquarters

I had a 2010 coupe and a 2010 EX35 and never had the dash issue, felt like new even at 5 yrs old plus. My 2013 coupe is like new still as well. I'm wondering if it's cars in certain environments/weather? Or were certain cleaning/protectant chemicals that caused it? Or maybe certain years/lots? As for consumer affairs, I had 3 diff. other issues over years, they ruled in my favor and were very good.

Look up the ingredients of WD40. Its great stuff, and it has its place. Your dash isnt one of them.

Exactly... Plus WD40 is flammable too.

08 G37s I've got a sticky dash but it's more towards the windshield vents. I try not to use a lot of product on it, just wipe the dust off that's all!

GooGone

Spray a liberal amount of goo gone on a rag and try rubbing it down.

I have a 2009 G37 Convertible which has 18,000 miles, has been garaged, and has major dashboard cracks. Criminal that this is not a class action suit, or Infiniti will not replace the dashboards. Obviously it is the same material used with Nissan and their successful class action suit.

2008 G37s with sticky dash. Pretty good indication car has been garaged much, but it has lived in TX it's whole life 'til now. We oughta see how many of us have this issue and all get together and pressure Nissan. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
