Installed Z1 rear subframe bushings. Makes the car feel brand new and I only had 50k on a 2014. Not too bad of an install if you have an impact gun. Took about 1.5 hours total.

I like it. Looks good, very clean install. Where did you purchase the setup at?

I built the brackets myself and pieced it together via eBay and local auto parts stores. Thanks!

I am looking to upgrade my steering wheel from the stock model, which to me is a bit too small in circumference and is vinyl. I have a 2012 G37 Sport Coupe, with the stone interior. This interior has the muddy looking taupe cover for the steering wheel airbag and button covers.

The after market wheels I have seen (Redline, VQVortex, B & I, for example), all use the stock covers for airbag and buttons. So, the combination of whatever leather, carbor fiber, or whatever is used for the replacement wheel will clash with the Mississippi Mud colored buttons. Has anyone come up with a nice solution they can share?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered, but could not find this on the forum. Still relatively new.

Unhappy Surprise from VIN Decoder

All,

I am new to the forum, and just purchased a G37 Coupe with the Sport “S” bade on the back. I assumed that I was getting the sport package.p, which was really critical for me in my search for a G.

I just used the VIN Decoder that has a link on this site, and my car came back as a Journey. How can I tell which car I REALLY have?

Thanks,

Woodlands Ed

"Journey" is the sub-model, like "AWD" and "6MT". However, "Sport" is a package, with interior, exterior and performance upgrades. The Sport Package components came on the 6MT by default, without being specifically called out as a package.

So maybe the question you're asking is how do you know your car has the Sport Package or not? That's easy enough to figure out irrespective of the VIN. Seats, wheels, brakes, etc.
