HELP: Outcast Garage IPL Front Splitter question

So I received my fiberglass IPL front splitter that i ordered from Outcast Garage yesterday and had a few questions/concerns to ask to the members on this forum who have ordered and own the same one.

Question #1:

Did your splitter come all scuffed up or was it in good condition? I was told this is normal due to it being fiberglass and that I should sand it down and get it painted, which is understandable but it's a lot of deep looking scuffs.

Question #2:

Is the bottom of the splitter supposed to be hallowed out? I could've swore it was supposed to be solid?

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated everybody!

Also just to make this abundantly clear I am not complaining about this splitter, I am only asking questions of my concerns! I sold my Aeroflow Dynamics front splitter for this one bc I'm in love with how it looks and I just want to make sure all this is normal that's all.

For aero purposes, the splitter bottom should be flat and mate up with whatever else is underneath. The larger the flat area, the more downforce you can develop. Obviously, the splitter you got is primarily for looks.

Can't attest for the scuffs because mine is carbon but yes mine has the same ergonomics as yours and is flat everywhere except the front edge

It seriously looks like the forgot the top half of the mold. Beng, does yours look like it's literally missing the top like that one? I was all set to order one but I'll pass if that's how it comes.

Edit: The deep scratches will obviously have to be filled. Lots more work for the body shop depending on just how deep they are. They'll have to build up a lot of primer to fill the scratches.

I was texting Ben and he said his carbon fiber one is the same. I'm just surprised that nobody has ever mentioned this with theirs. Outcast is a very reputable company so I'm just surprised this splitter is so flimsy.

I'm still looking for more options one people who own the fiberglass one and curious if this is how there's spooked when getting it. I feel $335 is so overpriced for this splitter even though it looks amazing when installed.

You may want to do some research on that company and their history on this forum. Just sayin'.

Jeremy do you seriously think I didn't try to do my research prior to making this thread? I know reputable they are and like I said I'm not complaining just surprised that's all. Mark and the entire Outcast Garage team probably have some of the best customer service I've witnessed.

When you say research the history of the company on the forum did you mean that people have complained? I'm not saying anything negative about the company at all just figured the splitter would be a solid piece of fiberglass and not look like it's been run over lol I'm going to sand it down and paint it obviously I just think think it'll do with some of the scuffs on the edges as they're pretty deep it seems.

I couldn't find the answers to my concerns hence the existing thread. If there's somewhere you can lead me that may reference me to my questions then please feel free to share and help me out. Just sayin'.

There's helpful and then there's snarky. Rarely do you have both at the same time.

If they are a poor vendor...then cant you boot them...heck your king chief aren't you? I can attest to their customer service being crap.Kenny....give them a call and tell them your concerns see what they say. Then let us know. I know I emailed them and it took them forever to respond when they did they quoted me prices for the wrong product ignored my questions and in the end I just went to Auto X and purchased it for less and immediately.

When I spoke to Mark from outcast he told me this is how they come scratches, scuffs and all. He's actually the one who gave me the idea of making a thread on the forum to see from other people that this is how they ship out so I went ahead and did it.

Idk what Jeremy (BlackBetty) means bc he wasn't to clear but I can't seem to find a bad review of them on this forum, and if people have had trouble in the past why keep them?

No holes or anything. Seems like a pretty subpar piece of $335 plastic...
