6mt installing a new shift boot

So i bought a shift boot from twm and never installed it. The instructions show screws, but my car has plastic rivets. I'm thinking about sanding the tops off and then getting some screws to replace the tops with. Any idea where to get the screws? Any thoughts/advise?

I installed a redline boot yesterday and encounteted the same thing. If you depress the 2 clips on each side and pull the plastic rim away from the shifter surrounded the caps break off. Between the 4 clips, screw, and the other 'thingy' at the back, it all clamps down pretty securely.

My redline boot wasnt cut for the tabs or screw. I was disappointed.

Dude awesome! I'll get on that asap when I get home. Luckily mine was precut with holes! I wonder why Nissan put the tabs there if they just break off. I'm sure a shift boot gas been replaced under warranty.

Not the tabs, the rivets break off.

The 2 tabs, or clips, on each side of the boot securely hold the boot in place--plus the screw at the back. All the rivets just position the boot.

My redline boot had all the rivets cut, but not the 4 tabs or the screw.
