Make sure the bolts are thoroughly soaked with PB Blaster or similar product. Wd-40 is inferior. Also make sure you have a good quality extension to approach one of the bolts from the engine bay. Official instructions state that you have to remove the steering knuckle to access the top bolt from the engine bay, but I was able to remove mine without doing so. It helps if you have somebody underneath the car to push the catalytic converter just to give you a couple of millimeters of clearance and often that is enough.

I absolutely agree with what everyone said. My HFC install was a 2 day process.

Passenger side came off with PB Blaster (overnight soaking) + a torch and I was able to crack it loose with a 2 foot 1/2" extension.

Driver side was a pain in the ***. The steering column is in the way so it made it hard to get the socket on the bolt. PB Blaster and a torch didn't work.

5 hours of trying to get it off, and I just said forget it and cut it off with a saw. I'm glad I did because the demon bolt was basically fused to the flange from the constant heat of the exhaust. It would have NEVER come off otherwise.

Keep in mind you MUST use a 6 point socket for this, a 12 point will strip it.

You may have to cut it like I did. A few more tips:

- Try hitting it with an impact gun. It probably won't loosen it but sometimes the force of the impact could break it then you can get it loose with a breaker bar.

- Try TIGHTENING the bolt just to break it and then go back the other way.

Those bolts suck, good luck with it.

Lots of extensions with a knuckle low on one of them. Then cheater bar. Then break the bolt lol
