Engine removal help

So basically after my warranty denied my claim I went ahead and bought a engine off a 09 g37 with 28k miles for $1500. Pretty good deal..

Now I've searched and searched but I cant find a DIY of how to remove the engine. Can someone point me in the right direction of a how to or tell me the main things to remove to break the engine loose.

Thanks, Luis

After paying the nissan dealership $1500 to able to get my car back since warranty didn't cover the claim I had to pay the engine tear down (front timing cover) outta my own pocket... I should be picking the car up today Taking it back to my house and start working on the engine removal.

I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures and possibly do a DIY since the manual shows more of a mechanic shop version of the removal With a lift. and most of us don't have a lift so yeah.

And yes the 09 g37 engine was from a wreck. lower oil pan got damaged so I'm just swapping it with the one in from my current engine.

Really interested to see if I bent valves due to the timing skip.

How did your engine skip timing? Money shift?

Serpentine belt tore, wrapped around the harmonic balancer, destroyed the crank seal, belt went inside the engine, clogged the oil screen=low oil pressure =the timing to skip.

If your belt was that worn out, how often do you change oil? Even 150k with the Super Duper Fully Synthetic Extended Sky High Mileage Mobil 1?

So we went ahead and started removing everything,
Disconnected battery,
removed intake manifold and tubing
removed bumper,
removed wheels
disconnected AC lines
core support,
disconnected harness from the ECU & pulled it out.
battery,
Steering pump,
Alternator,

All we have left is:
Disconnect shifter assembly
Disconnect connections to the tranny
Loosen catylic converters
Remove mount bolts.

Btw does anyone know a good bolt to use to pick the engine up with hoist?

A cold brew helps a lot along the way

Good luck with the removal and remember to take lots of photos if/when possible! It's definitely interesting to see the process.
