critically low transmission oil!

You have a transmission dipstick if you have an 08 g37 automatic. Its located on the passenger side behind the engine cover. You should check the level, and see where its at. I had that issue when my transmission was low in fluid. I ended up draining the fluid from under the transmission, and refilling through the dipstick. All my shifting lag and clunks were resolved. Hope that helps.

How many miles did you have when you changed the fluid? Did you change the filter also?

On a side note, most transmission fluid changes are very similar between different makes and models, much like how oil changes are similar. If you can do an oil change, you can do a tranny fluid change.

Not many ATs have drain plugs; on most you have to drop the pan, a good bit more involved than draining an oil pan.
AT filters don't just spin on, either.

Okay guys. I took the car to the mechanic and he drained the remaining of the oil and refilled it.
he told me there was a bit of carbon inside but the transmission is supposed to be okay.
I drived the car afterwards and although there is noticeable change the delay is still there.
what do you guys think ?

Is it possible you're imagining the delay? I'm willing to bet you're more than a little paranoid about it now. If it persists, take it to a dealership, it's possible you just need a software update though.

If it has transmission issue, it could get $.
Like others have suggested, ds is a different set of shift patterens.
IMO id do a full transmission service.
The only reason I'd have it done at the dealership is 2 fold.
First is they will check for shift linkage,shifter problems.
My shifter failed in the first 18 months of ownership.
Lucky for me, others here had help diagnose.
It would only mis shift when cold/again I had a bad shifter, wouldn't go into ds mode when cold.
Once it warmed up, you would never know a problem existed.
Good luck, just baby it until you get this sorted out.

To be honest the problem is not that major. But I feel its not right if you know what I mean.

Another thing that I noticed but not sure if it's related.
When I am stopped and change from R to D and vise versa I notice a sound and a slight jerk.
