Baddest G37x Coupe

I just found out that 2009 and earlier options were available with 4WAS. I had no idea this was even an option for some... my X is newer so not really an option for me, haha.

Hey Honorcode, I know you posted the question to Himalaya but I wanted to let you know that I've run the Eibachs with stock struts and no camber kit for two years and I've been just fine, daily driving and in several inches of snow. Hope this helps!

How did it change the cars driving dynamics; tighter turn in, a bit firmer ride, more bouncy/less bouncy, less body roll? Thanks for your input man and loving all the X love out there.

I believe i am running 8.5s in the front and 10's in the rear... or 9's in the front and 10.5 in the rear. I am really not sure. The tire sizes are 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. Offsets are 30 front 38 rear I believe but again not sure about this either. Its nothing too aggressive... They are concept one RS8's.
I only have a few pics with these rims on. The one's that are attached here are with my stock rims on. 25mm spacers in the rear. After I took pics, i put 20mm spacers in the front and now the front wheels sit flush. I didn't get a chance to take any pics because it got dark out, but I can if anyone wants to see how my car look with stock wheel and spacers on. i am only running these because winter and salt on the roads.
I am running the eibach springs. Stock struts. Ride quality is horrible IMO. Most people don't mind, they think its sporty and such, but I like smoother rides because its a luxury coupe. I would say the ride quality is 10 percent less than stock... Its a little bouncy
As for camber kit, yes, every alignment shop told me I need a front camber kit. There are people driving without a camber kit and are running -2.5 deg of front camber. I was told it would prematurely wear out my tires, and I wanted to go back to stock as for an alignment, so I got the front camber kit installed and rear camber kit installed as well but I did not install rear toe bolts. Not needed. The camber kit also comes in handy if you are planning on going with coils in the future which I am.
I had the camber kit installed a month after lowering and the cost of the camber kit with install and alignment was 1k. Aftermarket rear toe bolts are sitting at home on my desk. My camber kit is an SPC and i highly recommend it!
I have no squeaks or anything and i've been lowered on eibachs for a year now. No problems so far except ride quality. Normal ride isnt bad, its when you hit bumps at high speeds and potholes which are everywhere 5 feet apart in my area in CNJ. Some potholes and bumps feel like the car is about to break. basically feels like a metal box falling into a hole and hitting the ground.
Have I ever scraped, no. Eibach is not so low that you will scrape. IMO its the perfect drop. When I go with coils during the summer, I will probably go .5 inches lower, not more.
We X drivers have 3 options with coils. BC coils which i heard nothing but bad about. D2 which are made by the same company as bc coils, and i met someone who said D2 are terrible. The last option is Ksports which I am going to go with. I never met anyone with them on the X and a G but met a lot of people with ksports on the 350z and 370z and heard very good reviews about them. And they are true coils!
I was originally planning on getting a body kit and diffuser, but I love the look of the IPL so I got the full IPL kit minus the fogs in the front. I hate the look of fogs on our car. I feel like it takes away from the aggressive look.
At first I just got the IPL front bumper, but it didn't look that good alone at stock height, so I ordered the side skirts, rear, and springs, at the same time and installed everything together at once. Felt like a new car!
I also just got GTR tails done so I attached a few pics of how they look. I think it looks much better and more aggressive. I think my rear is complete. I am in the process of making my own emblemless grill. Its basically done but i cant primer or paint because of the cold weather and I can't paint inside my house so I'm waiting untill it gets a little warmer.
As for 4WAS think all you have to do to install 4WAS on our X is to find a totaled G with 4WAS, take its differential out and swap it with ours. Its really simple to do. I would say 4/10 difficulty to do it. But please double check this before you actually do it. I was planning on doing this as well next summer so I will do more research on it then.
I have drove in snow with eibachs, No problem at all!
You can't get anything back to stock without a front and rear camber kit, but as i said, you don't need rear toe bolts. just the rear control arms and front control arms.
I didn't notice a difference in body roll. Car is a lot more bouncy. 10-15 percent firmer ride. After a while, you begin to notice a lot less, but you will eventually want to move onto coils for a better ride.
Sorry if this was a bit unorganized, I was answering questions following the post orders.

^^looks great Himalaya, and thanks for all the info! I also went with front and rear camber kits with the toe bolt just to be safe. I'm in bc coils and the ride is ok. Not terrible but could be better, I wish stance or KW would come out with a set for us. Here's a few pics on what I have planned exterior wise for mine in the spring. Both pieces just got delivered recently I'm super excited to get them installed. The hood could be a little much for some but I think it looks great. AMS VIS carbon fiber vented hood and the carbon fiber splitter for the IPL bumper from Chris at Outcast Garage. Not the best pics but you get the idea.

that hood is pretty cute!
post some fitment pics once installed!
i wanted to it and paint it red and leave the fins unpainted, but i always see fitment problems on peoples pics = /

I was planning on getting a vented hood as well, but i have read the fitment isn't the best at the point it closes in the front above the emblem. As in there's a gap... and I'm scared it will fly open on the highway and smack me on the windshield
are you getting the hood painted?
are you getting the hood painted?

Yea I heard the same thing. I'm hoping that I get lucky with it. A buddy of mine has the hood and I'm pretty sure he cut or removed the hood spring underneath the hood and he has no issues. I'm also going to get some flush mounting hood pins just to be on the safe side. As for painting, for now I'm going to leave it carbon just becuase I love way it pops when the sun hits it but eventually yea I'll paint the hood but leave the vents on it carbon fiber.
