Die Cast 1:18 G37 available
There is a very nice die cast G37 made by Paudi Models reviewed on
I contacted the Chinese manufacturer through eBay and was put in touch with a U.S. distributor, located in California. I ordered the model last week and received it today. It is gorgeous. The detail is amazing. While the seller describes it as "blue," it is charcoal gray, as seen in the video (there may a blue tint, deep down). The grill is silver, not the color of the body. The video accurately describes and displays the model. It's expensive, but damn, it looks good. Edit: I got out my glossy '08 Infiniti G Coupe brochure with its color chart. The model is very close to Blue Slate when observed in strong lighting. Dark gray or Blue Slate, it's great. The carpeted floor of the trunk lifts out, revealing the spare tire. |
Just ordered one!

Guess I'll be the first to add the common theme here on MYG37.com ....... "Needs a drop".

They forgot the seat bubble, but other wise amazing detail, especially the engine bay.

i really want it but its too expensive

If you can afford the real thing...
You know, the headlights could be painted black, as long as you baked and sealed them well afterwards. If the vendor's count is legit, there are not very many of these to go around. All you modders should pass, leaving them for those of us who run stock. Edit: I think the count is legit. When I ordered there were 21 available, yesterday the count was 19, and today it is 18. |
Just ordered one
I expected the price to be higher, given the detail work.

Die cast
Just ordered mine. The count was at 17!

After watching that video , I'm really looking considering buying one now , it's pretty cool, I didn't think it was worth the money but it seems to me it's a quality piece

If it was red ..............

It's not my platinum graphite either. And, it's an automatic G37S, not a 6MT, like mine. But damn, it has paddle shifters and stalks on the steering column! I've never had a replica that so closely mirrored my vehicle. |
Mine came!
Waiting to open it on my birthday in a week!
|
There's a US distributor link in the first post. Down to 12. At nearly $160 with shipping, I'm not that tempted. I'm a little tempted as I have a Graphite Shadow, but it's a JDM, so forget it. Then I won't have the urge to mod my model along with my car.

I hope for their sake they are able to sell all of them, but I am not parting with $160 of my money for a dust collector.
I have a 1950 Chevy convertable and I always told myself if they ever made a diecast of it I would buy one. Franklin Mint made one years ago for about $100 and I swallowed hard and passed on it. A year or two later I bought one for about $15. http://www.diecast.org/data/sac_cars/xl07.jpg If anyone makes a diecast of the Infiniti G37S for $20 or less, count me in. |
No IPL :dunno: lame!
|
Although that diecast would make a terrific oversized paperweight, I don't think it would intrigue me for any more than 10 minutes.

Just got my delivery of the diecast today. It is AMAZING. As the OP noted, the detail is actually quite shocking -- and the colour is closer to grey than it is blue which I am extremely happy with (my G37 is grey so I preferred this colour).
Dennis at Taylor was a pleasure to deal with. I drove him crazy trying to find the cheapest shipping option to Canada -- he was more then patient and got the diecast to me very quickly and at the best price. (Note to Canadians when using UPS -- best to 'self clear' the brokerage to avoid being screwed by UPS) Probably also worth mentioning that I got a notice from Taylor that they're getting in white and red G37 diecasts in the summer. Ok, so I will admit that no one 'needs' to have a diecast of their G -- but if you're a G enthusiast, you'll love having this on your office desk as a reminder of what you'll be riding in on your way home :JAMIN: |

From the website, looks like they are coming in both red and white in June.

Preordered a red G37 in April, promised in June, no updates or emails from Taylor Motorsports about the order. Have I been scammed? :confused2:

Anyone know if Taylor is going to be carrying these again in Gray\Blue? I saw that the red and white versions are upcoming, but the only G I can find online is from paudi.biz directly in blue (what most folks say is gray). I'm interested, but want to avoid the 40+$ in shipping from Paudi if possible.
I just searched eBay for "Paudi model" and found lots of sellers offering the G37 die cast model. All three colors, blue slate (nearly gray), red, and white are available. Prices varied between $100 and $120, with most sellers charging $12 for shipping. |
