Who's Was This?
|
MSRP of $42,400 in 2011
Hahahaha and SALVAGED..... for $24,495.00??? One member posted his 2011 or 12 IPL for $33000, cause trade in was $30000... I rather pay extra $5000.... And probably the owner is not on the forum.... no after market parts and not even a tint on that G.... |
Hard to pass up, she looks a beauty, yet the scare of faulty wiring due to water still makes it a scary buy, (that, and its not a 6mt :) )
|
If no water damage, why the salvage title....?
|
Bull Shiiiiiiiiit~~~~ that's why~~~ we don't smell the fungus.... LOL

I live in the NYC area and I've been hearing alot of fraud going around with vehicles due to hurricane sandy. People who's car did not even get effected by sandy were putting in claims saying it was flooded, simply because they didn't want the car anymore. This IPL could be an insurance write off. It does look good in the pics

Better off putting 25,000$ down on a CPO, having some piece of mind, and enjoy having a dealer fix any problem that may occur. |

The IPL " could have" yes. Are you willing to take a 25,000$ gamble? Owning a salvage sports coupe is not the best idea. Insurance will be higher, financing will be at higher rates, and you never know what maintenance bills will pop up unexpectedly.

These salespeople sure are shady...42K MSRP is what made me chuckle. Everyone of us would be driving this then lol...

Thats what I thought. If they cant even research the correct MSRP, I have to presume the same research standards apply for what was "not damaged". I would not let a 10-foot pole use another 300-foot pole to touch this car. |
I have a fair amount of experience with salvaged vehicles. I wouldn't touch a flood car with a 10 foot pole and especially if it was flooded with sea water. In Asheville the standard deduct off retail book for a salvaged vehicle is 50%, so if it truly books for $42000, then a "fair price" would be $21,000. You have to understand this car has zero warranty, zip, nada. You would still be eligible for recalls but that is all. It would also be hard to finance.
If this car was never in the water it could be a good buy at a bit lower price. How would you know though? |
Is it just me or does anyone see that bit of rust forming inside the exhaust pipe. I know my 2008 doesn't have that. How come a 2011 does?
Salt water can really screw sh1t up even it if doesn't make its way all the way into the cabin. |
