Radio does not work after battery dies and a jump start was needed
Hello All,
I'm hoping that some one can help me here so that I don't have to make a trip to the dealership.
I unfortunately did not drive my car for 3 weeks and my battery died... I got a jump start and it fired right up but the radio does not work properly. The display screen works and the channels/volume change when I press the buttons but there is no sound.
I haven't done anything yet to diagnose but was thinking of a hard reset (disconnecting the negative for 15 min) and checking the fuses.
Has anyone experienced this before? Will I need the unlock code? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance all!

i know there was a tsb for some kind of "charge drain" if the car sits for too long.
i don't drive my G in the snow, but i have to go out there and start it every 3 days or so and let it run for a bit.
might wanna check the tsb's or do a little search. i don't remember what tsb it actually was.

Thanks for the info. Yes I saw the TSB's but right now I want to get the radio working again. Ive had my car sit for two weeks at a time and have no issues so I am not concerned about the drain issue right now as I don't believe that I have that.
Anyone else experience this radio not working post a dead battery issue?

I own a 08 g37s.
Same thing happened to me when i had to jump star my cars after sitting for like two months and it happened to be the main fuese that cracked. This fuse is combained/connected with the battery cable. That is something you might want to check..

Probably is just a fuse. I changed my batter not long ago, installed a new one about an hour later, and didn't have any issues with the radio. I still had my presets even.
I did, however, have to reprogram the windows, which took all of 25 seconds.

Fixed it!
Hey guys. Same thing happened to my wife's 2013 G37x. This thread helped point me in the right direction. I checked the audio fuses in the cabin and battery fuse box. Both were fine. On a wild hare, I pulled the "Bose Amp" fuses in the cabin fuse box. Both were blown. I replaced them and everything works perfectly.
