I don't think so. I've tried everything to rub it off but it's pretty resilient. It makes sense: the paint soaks into the threads and dries hard. I can't even scrape it off with a knife.

Dries hard? So can you not see the thread anymore? Is there a hard coating over the threads where it looks like paint? Or does it actually look like red stitching?

Seraphix... What do you think about hints of red inside with our color?

The original poster hasn't signed onto the forum since July 2012 so I wouldn't expect a reply. But by the looks of his work it came out really nice! Keep us posted and add some pictures of your work as well!

What do folks thinks about dark blue on my light gray interior. The paint is blue slate (dark blue)
