my wife's 2011 maxima has been in the shop twice for squealing brakes. it does it cold or warm. i can push the car with one hand in park and hear it. still not fixed. they said it could be a rock in between there, but there is no rock. my 370 doesn't do this

I just had my front rotors replaced at the dealership due to the shuddering at highway speeds. Brakes don't squeak anymore

my 2009 G37S coupe has been doing this in reverse now for a few months. last night leaving a concert it did it in drive (as i inched along the parking lot getting out) sooo loud.. only 31k miles. Into the dealer tomorrow (that and an alignment, my wiper fluid not spraying, fix the damn curb rash my wife put on my passenger side wheel and just a check up.) hopefully it will go away after.. but we live in FL and its not been lower than 80 at night.. i dont think the temps have much to do with it.

Well since the thread was bumped, let me add: I bought the hawk ceramic brake pads and after 2-3 days the squealing is back so it's probably the rotors?

i took my 08 G to the dealership yesterday for this exact issue. service guy said that the squeaking was normal when reversing, even showed me a print out of how they diagnose brake noise. I saw that during cold weather the squeaking is normal.

anywho he said that there were some updates for my car and they replaced the brakes under warranty. squeaking is now gone but he said it could come back. they also replaced my instrument panel trim while they had my car there too.

O.O How did you manage to get warranty work on an 08?!? It is way past the expiration.

I used to have the squealing as well. I changed my front pads with new Akebono aftermarket pads and the noise went away.

It will be short lived, I have those pads as well and they squeal with any moisture. Its mostly noticed in the morning or if the car has been sitting, by first two or three stops it is gone. If there is heavy rain expect the squeal as well. Other than that they are silent as can be and stop the car promptly.

I've had them on for the last 8,000 miles and no squealing has come back even after rain. Here's a pic of the one im using:

I recently purchased a pre-owned 08 G37S with just over 28K miles and it still has factory warranty. My brakes squeak in reverse about 90% of the time and occasionally in drive when moving slowly (like in a parking lot). I also noticed my e-brake has to be cranked up high and tight to engage enough so the car doesn't move. I'm planning on taking my car in for inspection while I still have some warranty but i'm not holding my breath for either of these issues being fixed.
