Just joined not only the G37 club, but the G37 IPL club. I was dreaming for a G37 coupe for 8 years and finally made my dream
come true.

Question to all who have the Malbec black color - do you enjoy the unique color? I'm looking to get my first coupe soon and torn between a g37s or ipl. At first I thought the Malbec black was too weird of a purple with red interior but after seeing many photos it looks sweet. I read it's the safe choice to pick if no plans on modding.
Although a g37s all black on black looks sweet too. Like a batmobile!

Yes I just came across this thread. The search option on the forum is terrible because I was searching for any IPL threads and this never showed up which is why I started my thread, "calling all IPLs".

Hey everyone! New IPL owner here
City: San Diego, CA - yeah, CARB, it's poop, I know.
Car Club: None - would like to hang with some but not fly a club name on the car
2014 "Q60" (G37) - IPL, 7AT in the Graphite/Dark Grey - 20k miles when purchased
Planned mods under warranty for the next 5 years: Red GTR Push Start button, Meistershaft axle back, Midnight front grill, debadge the "INFINITI" from the trunk, possibly tint the rear 3 windows, rear diff w/lower final(?) - Not trying to push my luck on warranty stuff
After warranty? - Stillen Supercharger, intakes, intake manifold, rebuild/new rods?
It's my DD and graduation gift to myself after a 12 year long struggle to earn my Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Now going for my MBA but taking a year off first. Been in the car scene for awhile started in SoCalEuro and....well never left.
CarMeats is a new thing in the area, I prefer not to associate not sure if it's because I'm older and want a more exclusive/mature group or just don't like the cop attention.
I do like smaller meets (more exclusive type stuff) with the exception of the massive meets and get togethers in the "Euro" / luxe scene, also open to cruises, or mountain runs + coffee/food. Would like to do video

2002 VW Golf 2.0 8v - was supercharged, exhaust, intake, suspension for MOARLOW. After all that it was still slow
1995 BMW 325is - S52 engine swap w/euro manifold ITBs + tune, M3 exhaust, cupkit for MOARLOW. Crashed into the back end of a semi.
1986 Saab 900 Turbo - Stock
2000 Honda Civic EX - Poor man's type R swap (GSR block w/ B16 head), muffler shop crush bend exhaust, ebay muffler
2005 Saab(Subaru) "SAABARU" - 92x Aero - FMIC, all hard/silicone conections for intake, stock airbox modded with 5 inch venturi tube pulling cold air from fender (Gloriously LOUD AF), IHI V34 turbo, Equal Length Headers, 3 inch TBE, Synapse recirculation valve, Cobb Protuned 380 AWHP. SOLD WHEN I LEFT ON DEPLOYMENT TO A DUMBASS THAT PUT A DUCK WHISTLE ON THE RECIRC AND BLEW THE TRANNY DOING CLUTCH DROP LAUNCHES. THEN HE EMAILED ME TO TRY TO GET ME TO PAY FOR THE TRANNY EXPLODING. - still bitter about that, I loved that car, I never paid him, car was sold as-is.
2002 VW 337 Edition GTI - APR stage 2 tuned was DD until my 6th day at my most recent job and it was flooded in the parking lot due to rain. Sold back to previous owner who brought it back to life, company paid for the loss.
2007 Acura TL Type S - Poly engine mounts so I would'nt have to deal with them breaking all the time.

Plasti dipped my emblems and took off the Infiniti letters. Thinking of cutting out the red part of the IPL emblem, thoughts? Also thinking of plasti dipping the wing, the antenna fin, the side mirrors, the grille and the wheels.
