Can I do this?

Hey guys I just bought an Auto Black G37 Base with like... less than 1k miles on it. Is it possible for me to trade it in for a Manual Sport/Premium G37 right now? And if so, how much MORE would I be paying?

Yes and No.

Yes, because anything is possible.

No, because you can't just buy a car and get a 30 day money back guarantee. You are upside-down, so you have to pay the difference (about 10% of the MSRP) + the difference of the new car, which could range anywhere from an additional $3,000-$8,000 or so.

you can do it, it will just be really expensive. try selling it privately. if you don't wanna go through the hassle, trade it back into the dealership for a loss and get the car you want. they will be more than happy to roll your negarive equity into the new car.

Your best bet is to sell your privately then buy a slightly used sport. Prolly looking at about a $5K-$8K swing.

with the way the economy is at this moment... it's not feasible.. you should keep it... unless you're dieing to have the 6MT..

Keep it. Unless you got cash to burn. But from what you're saying, it doesn't seem that way.

I say, you will lose $3500 on your car. Then add on the difference for the more expensive new car that you want to buy. yeah, it sucks $3500 for a car that you barely have 1000 miles on. Put yourself in their shoes. would you buy a used one if it was only $2000 difference from a new one? Yeah, you know theres nothing wrong with your car but hey, alot can happen within a 1000 miles, you could have wrecked it twice, could have thrown up in it a few times, etc... you know what i mean Most people that can afford a $40k car dont really mind $2000 differences.

1. go to the dealer
2. find the car you like
3. offer your car for trade
4. get the answer to your ?

everyone on here guessing wont tell you what your dealer will offer.
