Salvaging it is tough. And unfortunately finding these stock is next to impossible. If you plan on keeping this car and don’t mind spending the money I would just bring it in to someone that works with leather and have them fix it up especially since you have the stock Monaco seats already. But if you plan on getting rid of the car I wouldn’t even bother you’ll never make that money back. Unfortunately not a lot of people even dealerships know the rarity factor about those seats so they’re just unwilling to pay.

I'll keep an eye out on this, make sure you update us on the reliability. With yours being a vert I expect more wear than a non vert due to the extra UV.
If it holds in a vert It should last a life time in coupe/sedan.

Been on for about 3 months now and trust me I have that top down 95% of the time when weather permits and haven’t seen any discoloration. I did notice in high traffic area such as the driver seat side facing you the dye is starting to look a little shot there. In all fairness it was a disaster there to begin with before I dyed it and also I guess the compression is high in that area from me getting in and out. I always keep extra dye on hand to redo it but I’m eventually going to have to take it to a professional to smooth those rough areas out so that I could properly dye it.

Hey! I was wondering if you ever found a fix for the seats? I have the same problem with my 09 vert . The red leather has tears and cracks and the shop I took it to says they can’t match the hole patterns on these. Found some red seats from a coupe but unsure if they can just be swapped into a vert. Any tips would be appreciated.

What would it cost to reupholster in red? Was the backseat also red on the anniversary model? I love the look of the red insert in the door panels.

Red leather in these cars come in front and rear seats at least with only the coupes bringing red in the panels. Sedans were all black with the seats being the accent.

I have 122000 miles and had it for 8 and a half years and my seats just need a little touch up on the red in a few high traffic spots. No cracks on seats and only 1 on the dash by the vent. The secret for me is to wipe the dash with those protectant wipes and the seats down with leather wipes from Walmart, just to get the surface dirt, then I use Meguiar's Gold Class Leather "CONDITIONER" on the seats 4 times a year. Don't use leather cleaner as it tends to strip the dye and dry the leather and don't use a cleaner/conditioner combo. Just a conditioner.
