Trunk opens midway through roof in operation, HELP!
 

I replaced the battery on my 2010 G37 convertible and now halfway through the roof in operation the trunk opens causing the roof not to complete its cycle. I took the battery to wallmart and not the dealer, so idk if the roof needs to be reset like the windows and the keys. The car was beeping twice while locked and off, but i reset that by holding down the lock and unlock for 3 seconds on the key. Also, I held the door panel button and the close button for the roof together for 3 seconds, so the car sure knows that the roof is up and covered. I don't know why the trunk opens halfway blocking the roof from coming down, any ideas????

usually after replacing the battery the beeping means that the roof has to go through the full cycle to resync.

Walmart?

At any rate, if still no go, you'll have to go to the dealer to do a "re-learn" of the top using their Scanner tool. Quite stupid.
