Rear quarter panel window replacement
Hi all - I purchased a 2011 G37s vert earlier this month and have been lurking around the site. This morning, on the way to work at 70 mph, the drivers side quarter window shattered. I am getting quoted $700 for the window (can only buy from Infiniti dealer only) and $350 for labor. There's a used window on EBAY for $90. Anyone had any experience replacing this and/or removing the rear interior side panels. I have searched and not found anything. Is this something that can be a DIY?

Go to the factory service manual sticky or follow the link below to get to the folder with the years. You want the GW and INT docs that defines the process.

Sounds like this would be covered under your comprehensive insurance. Provided your deductible isn't like $500...

Well, i do have a $500 deductible so I tackled this using the link above. Got a used OEM window for ~$90 on ebay. Very easy replacement. Took about 90m taking everything apart and back together. The hardest part was getting the windscreen plug out to reach the bolt behind there. Alignment was easy with top up and comparing sides. Hope this helps anyone else who has this misfortune |
