Driver seat in full recline and won't stay up
 

Hi all, new to the forum. Any help will be greatly appreciated! I have a 2009 convertible. The other night I drove to the store, got out of the car, and when I came back the driver seat was in full recline. I turned the recline switch but nothing happened. I can lift the seat by hand, but it won't stay in the upright position, just falls back. The seat latch on the top feels like it isnt connected to anything. Its very easy to move back and forth, unlike the passenger latch which you can feel is attached to something. Any idea what the problem might be? Thanks...Don
