Repair of trunk closure failure (electronics)
Hi, my 2009 G37 Convertible has developed a problem where the trunk wil no longer latch/close when operating the roof. After it opens to let the roof in or out, it no longer latches again. A push on the trunk will resolve this. My dealer has diagnosed this to be a failure of the CONTROL UNIT-CL [28574-JJ51A], a tiny circuitboard. Two components on it seem to have suffered water damage. Its $700 to replace. The dealer did suggest an electronic engineer might be able to fix it, but could not find anyone willing. Anyone experience with fixing it? how would I go about finding out what the components are that need replacement? Attached a picture with damaged components outlined.
Thanks in advance,
Remco.

TR4 is a transformer, ZD looks to be a Zener diode. I would also be concerned about D5 and D6 (diodes) and possibly C16 and R25 (capacitor and resistor respectively).
Only way (that I know) to find the exact part would be to find a part number on the component, or from documentation (Infiniti). I doubt you will be able to read the part numbers due to the condition of the components, but if you can look at a good board, you might be able to.
