G37 Coupe vs Convertible Parts
I'm new to the G community, as I JUST purchased a 2011 Convertible Base/Sport model. So I have a lot of questions regarding the Convertible being able to adopt the Coupe's parts, body wise that is. Also, if anyone has any tips for taking extra care of the car, both performance wise and cosmetic wise. Thanks for all your inputs, and reading my post. :)

Hey, welcome to the community. Read up the first page of the convertible section and a lot of your questions will be answered, including part compatibility.
Also, car care is not different from the rest of the models so look through the appropriate sections for that info as well. |
welcome to the vert club. I too am fairly new to the g37 vert (only owned mine for a year) but i have found out that the rear bumpers are different and therefor you cannot use the Autokitsx rear diffusers.

Ditto on the rear bumper. I really wanted a diffuser but was never able to find one.

Suspension is different due to spring rates. Only use struts/springs/coilovers that are designed for the vert (BC BRs, etc). The aftermarket rear camber arms are not compatible between the coupe and the vert. Our dampers/struts have the bottom bolt on the factory rear camber arm, while aftermarket parts do not have a place to mount the strut. |

Other than calling the damper a strut, yes.

I managed to put together a good TEIN suspension. Had to do some hella research, break out the micrometer, and order some extra parts. But it worked, and looked good.

I will attest. Corey spent a lot of time figuring out what to order from TEIN to get them to fit properly on his car.
