my 2011 g37 convertible

the "flap" on the passenger side that seals the back when the roof is open is not functioning. roof stuck in the partial open position until I held the little micro switch on the arm that it works on and could close it. any ideas on what the motor/servo that controls it? Obviously I won't be opening the top anytime soon until I get this fixed.

I had this problem in July 2016. The dealer replaced two parts. Part number 79912-JJ50B (FIN ASSY-RR PS) and part number 799A4-JJ50A (Board-REAR SID). The description for the repair was Replace RT Side Flapper DOR Motor Assy & Finisher for Damage.

This was done under warranty so I have no idea how much it would have cost.

Good Luck,

Tony

I just had this done out of warranty. In California it runs about $1,600. Not fun, but what are you gonna do?

If the flipper is loose, we have been working on a DIY fix:

i just finished my repair, hoping to finish testing and put step by step instructions up soon.
