I got the Hankook Ventus V12's and love them. They are quite, grip well and for the money, it is hard to beat. I must say that these have been great so far. I have put 10k on them and they still grip well.

I have the Hankook's, for the price they are a good tire but I am not a huge fan.
In the dry they do well, but are a little spongy on turns compared to others I have had.
In the wet, they are a little scary under hard breaking. I had the rear end almost come around on me while stopping suddenly for a stop light.
I will probably go with the Pilot's after these go. I have had good experience with with the Falken 452's but after about 50% wear the road noise gets annoying. Dry/Wet they were awesome and same price as the Hankook's installed. JMO

I bought the car at 18k and they came with Hankook Evo V12 Ventus. I am ata bout 35k and need to replace them.
From a cost perspective are these better than the other ones recommended in this thread (i.e. Michelin, Potenza, Pilot) ?

^^Thanks for that info. The sedan uses similar, but 18" and 5% larger (225/50/18, 245/45/18). I'm still torn about going with the PSS's. I shot myself in the foot some years back with goodyear eagle f1 gs d3 tires (on a camaro) that got excellent reviews, but turned out to be crap in stock sizes (very soft sidewalls, resulting in poor steering response).
Uhp summer tire, just got a set.
The treadwear is a 240, so it's a 20,000 mile tire.
So far it's a trade off of price vs quality.
A lot of oem tires are just overpriced.
The oem Yokohamas were 1600 to replace.
These are only 685 with free shipping via tread depot.com

254310 TOYO Proxes 4 Plus 245/40R19 98Y XL $176.73
10% discount on top which basically offsets shipping so $660 total.
Are these tires any good?

Would this not work because tires are rate W and Y - was told they need to be same?

What is the difference between the two? At Costco/Sams AS3 are averaging about $250/tire and I think it would probably cost me about $100 more total for the Super Sports.
Is it normal to have rear as 98Y and front as 96Y (I might have it vice-versa)
Update to my first question: https://www.myg37.com/forums/brakes-...port-a-s3.html
I think I will go with the A/S 3 after skimming that thread
