I dont think its going to be in the 100k range. they would never sell. 60-70k is more like it. Better luxury than the GTR w/ less performance but still more than enough to hang with the competition. Infiniti is not stupid. They wont make a car they can not sell the hell out of. Japanese car makers dont make that mistake.

From a marketing and product line standpoint, Nissan Motors should have never branded the GTR as a Nissan, IMHO. People don't go into a Nissan dealership to buy $100,000 cars. Nissan Motors should have marketed it as an Infiniti - with a more luxurious interior than that of the current GTR. It makes more sense for Infiniti to have a $100,000 GT in their product line to compete with Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Let's face it, the NSX wore an Acura badge, not Honda. The LFA is sold under the Lexus brand, not Toyota. Just my two cents...

You guys will never get a GT-R for under 98k. The GTR's price has been climbing just like the G's as it gets more successful.. The CURRENT G's now START at 40,000$ .. Before I remember GTR'S were under 100 now if you go to their site, they START out at 98k and there is a 108k model black edition but yeah i don't think anyone can get a BRAND new GT-R out the door for under 100k anymore haha. It's also funny how people say the IPL is over priced when its pretty much fully loaded at 52k while a fully loaded brand new regular G37s coupe is 48k.. infact theres a ton of people who tries to add IPL parts on their current G on TOP of what they paid for the car.. The BMW 335i is pretty much the exact price as the IPL and that's a 3.0 liter .. but it does have turbo ..

Gotta love "new" information dated April 13, 2012 LOL.
Hopefully a some NEW article pops up some time soon as opposed to this same one. I'm ready for pics.
Of course, there are 10 cars I'd rather buy than a 100K Nissan (regardless what badge they put on it).
I think they should keep it under 100K. There's more than performance that goes into that price. You are talking about engineering history! You are talking about Racing lineage. You are talking about technological Innovations and trending setting.
You can't just wake up one day and decide to charge 100K and expect people to buy your car OVER all of the other options at that price. You need to EARN the right, LOL.
Just my opinion.

Pretty cool, but I still wish they would do a middle of the road forced induction option for the G. Same car, but with the option to get a forced induction power plant - or all Sports would have the better motor, obviously with a higher price tag, but still comparable and affordable.

The NSX wore both badges depending on where you bought it. In Europe it was a Honda and even in Japan. In the United States it was an Acura and the Acura brand is only for the U.S. of A. market. In fact a lot of Acura NSX owners go through a lot of trouble and expense to de-badge the Acura off their NSX and swap it with a Honda badge. Somehow they think it's more exclusive. I just think it's silly. Since it neither enhances the looks, adds more power, speed or performance, then leave well enough alone.
I don't know enough about the Nissan and Infiniti lines variances from Japan to the states. I mean after I sold my 1971 Datsun 240Z what else could there be? Like the "E" type Jaguar, an iconic car for it's time.

Could not agree more!! There is no way they are going to ADD 46k to the price tag for the G and expect to sell it, or try and compete with their own GT-R. not gonna happen. 2 small turbos, built on not only making power, but also reliability. making 100-125hp more than the regular G and charging 12-15k more for a luxury high perfromance/semi-super car. thats the market they will go to.

The only thing officially confirmed so far is a next gen G Sedan.
I don't mean to bust your bubble but there will be no 530hp on a G Sedan. If they were to come up with a 530hp it will be a completely different car.
