When do you think they'll redesign the coupe again?
 

I'm going to purchase a new g37s coupe next year this month (april) and i was just wondering when they'll redesign the g37 coupe again. The g37 been out since 2008 so come 2011 it'll be 3 years going on 4. I understand theres no point to just keep waiting and waiting. But if a redesign will happen in 2012 and im buying it 2011 then i'd wait the extra few monthes. I know infiniti is conservative in talking about future redesigns but do you know when infiniti will announce a major change such as an engine upgrade or a redesign? like if a change was going to happen 2012 would they announce it say june of 2011 or whatever?

I think it'll be new for 2013

2012 or 2013... I think 2012 is more likely because you know the 1st generation coupe (G35) was from 2003 till 2007 and that's 5 years so 2012 is more likely... but that's just an expectation nothing certain... if you can purchase it now just do it... but on the other hand if you're about to consider some alternative I think the BMW 3-series is having a completely new look and everything next year (I'm not promoting or anything just to know)... but until then stay safe and save your money

I think it's more likely to be 2013. The convertible came out in 2009, so as the newest part of the G family, I think they'd give that model at least 4 years before they redesigned it. Logically they'd redesign the whole line at the same time, so I'd say it would be in 2013... Also, we can see concepts and testers of certain 2013 BMW models right now, and nothing from Infiniti yet...

With nissan/infiniti this really doesn't matter. 2009 370z was a complete ground up redesign. The 1st 370z's were in dealerships in january 09. The 2009 350z roadster was released 4 months earlier in sept 2008. They pushed it till august '09. Then the 2010 370z roadster came out in sept 09. In other words the convertibles in nissan don't run on the same time table. Coupes come out with an earlier versus convertibles. Which would negate your convertible theory.

the convertible was released in 2009 >>> next generation in 2013

The G coupe is on a five year cycle (2003-2008). I'd look for the new one in 2013...

if say the redesign was in 2012, when will infiniti announce it? like june of 2011?

Re Modeled not just redesigned like the sedan was this year it will be a whole new model and was told its going to be the 2013 model released towards the end of 2012 or early 2013. and they will takes parts from the new Infiniti Geneses

hey, im going to be finishing my military service in november, and as a treat for myself im planning on purchasing the g37x fully loaded (with every option.)

what are your opinions on when to purchase the car, with the new model in mind; whether it be a 2011 or 2012- remodeled or not...?

I've always been of the belief the G series remodels are on a contingent time table. Meaning if sales are slow and their competition is releasing new cars which further pushes Infiniti's "halo" car to the back of people minds, it will probably be introduced a bit earlier than planned.

There is no doubt in my mind they already redesigned the G and it's hidden somewhere. The essence was designed years ago and not only did it influence the FX, it influened the current G. I'm certain it was tweaked before they introduced it but the car itself was only new to the public according to what I read.

I think we will see something in the form of a concept sometime in 2011. It will be on the streets toward the end of 2012.
