G37 Sedan?

Just checking as I am continuing to notice more and more rumors of the G35 sedan to be upgraded again in engine just like 2008 G35 coupe will have. This has some of the same leak of information rate when the Bmw coupe 335 was to replace Bmw 330. At the time no official word on the sedan until almost august.

Since I am in the market to purchase G35 sedan in the next couple of days, I would like to know up front whether my sedan may be another Bmw 330 in the making to be usurped by a new engine in only 10 months?

Inquiring minds want to know.
TIA,
Lunchman
About $38,000 burning a hole in my pocket.

Nissan usually does a major model change every 4-5 years and usually once in mid cycle they do a refresh which usually includes an improved engine. My guess based on their track record is that the sedan will get the 3.7 and various other minor upgrades for the 2009 or 2010 model year. I imagine they'll also try to keep the coupe slightly ahead of the sedan in terms of power so they may wait until they have an upgrade ready for the coupe (retuned 3.7 or turbo or something). Again, this is all just speculation based on how Nissan/Infiniti has behaved with Maxima/Altima over the last decade and the G over the last 5 years.

+1

With the major changes for the '07 sedan, my guess is they'll try and make some money back before more changes. Don't forget, there are others in the world who unlike us, aren't that concerned about 24 hp (gasp! ;) )

Actually, to be fair, I'm not that worried about 24 ponies either - having fun with the 306 I have :D
