Anything else gets a mixer added to it.

I am not a huge whiskey fan but every now and then I find a gem. This is my latest acquisition...

Had some of the "Holy Grail" of bourbons this past weekend...Pappy Van Winkle 23 yr. My dad and I popped this open, then a friend of mine checked the going price and she yells "HOLY S*IT! You know that bottle is worth $3000!?" My dad and I looked at each other, shrugged and said enjoy! LoL. Twas tasty...and I'm not even a huge bourbon guy. But this is bomb

Crown for me. Usually I don't mix darks and lights and it helps with the hangovers.. haha! Oh and a mix drink with Coke always goes down easy

Sweet Jesus! How was it? I actually found a bottle earlier this year and should have sold my kidney to buy it, but we were remodeling the bathroom without going into debt and I wouldn't have been able to explain a frivolous large purchase. I could have easily flipped it and made at least $500 without trying, but I know I'd have cracked it open rather than part with it.

My boss told me that I'd like this. I was skeptical but it's not expensive some gave it a try. I was surprised, it's pretty good.

It was pretty damn good my dude. Very smooth. As a person who is just sort of getting into whiskey, I know I am ruining myself by starting out at the top! LoL. Was it worth 3 grand? Probably not, in my book nothing is. You are literally pissing money away. But if it was still in the $200 range I'd definitely buy some. Problem is with the heist a couple years ago and shows like Scandal and Justified the price and demand for this stuff has skyrocketed! My dad even said, once this bottle is gone he is gonna have to find something else to like because the price is outrageous!

On another note, this is a cheaper whiskey I found I really like. Sweet and smooth...by me its only like $35 bucks

Pappy was outrageous even before the general public knew it existed. I bartended many moons ago and it was a well kept secret because people who could acquire and afford it didn't want plebians to know it existed so as to drive up price and strain the limited supply. I dearly wish they'd make more but doubt they ever will. Why would they?

Our bar got a bottle once but it disappeared before I even got to work the next day. Mysteriously.

It's rarer than Louis XIII, but the bottle's not as cool.
