Hose blew off, don't know part

Hello,

Had a hose blow off and spew green liquid around. It isn't sweet smelling like the coolant, and the coolant is full and also the color blue. It's behind the drivers side headlight, and runs from the metal fitting shown in the picture to in front of the radiator into another metal fitting. I assume this is a rubber hose but I can't find whatever was attached to these two points and I'm not entirely sure it's even coolant...

Help me identify this hose please!

Thanks

Here's a better pick showing both ends of the hose. What is this for? Is it just a rubber hose in between? Why is the fluid green but my coolant is blue?

The green fluid is fluorescent dye that helps techs locate refrigerant leaks within the AC system. The "fitting" that blew off appears to be the high pressure flex hose where it connects to the high pressure hard line. In other words, this line connects the compressor to the condenser.

While you can likely replace the line, unless you have the requisite tools to properly service the AC system, best advice is to take the car to a qualified mechanic and have them repair the system.

This makes perfect sense, thanks for helping out! I'm definitely not equipped to fix this at home. Guess I'll just have no AC for a bit.

@Sedanz If it is going to be a while before you can get the repairs, I would strongly suggest you tape off the ends of any exposed tubing. This will prevent bugs, dirt, debris from entering the AC system and, more importantly, prevent moisture from building up and contaminating the system.

Good luck!
