Did Firestone overfill my g37 with oil?

This is the morning after I had my oil changed at Firestone with full synthetic 5w-30 oil. Shouldn't the oil be between the two dots and never over the H dot?

I checked like 6 times, wiped the dipstick each time with the same reading, oil over the H dot. I removed the dip stick normally, slowly and quickly, same reading.

Overfilled?

Yes, the oil level should read between the 2 dots. Looks overfilled if the dipstick is accurate.

Yep common to over full while engine is warmed up. I see this alot. Usually not a big deal unless you drive hard then it can be an issue.

It is a manual transmission I shift 3-4k+ and there is a noise I hear and feel at the bottom of the engine

Take it somewhere other than the Firestone that serviced it get it diagnosed and contact Firestone corporation they'll pay it.

You guys are making this a bigger deal than it is. Yes it's over filled. No it's not going to harm anything. Drive it hard or soft you'll be ok. It looks to be over filled by no more than 0.5qts.

0.5qts is not going to harm anything. I would not even bother trying to get it drained. Just leave it alone, it's fine.

The big deal here is not the oil being over filled, but it's the fact that OP got an oil change at Firestone. I am surprised the drain plug didn't fall off the car before he got home.

I'd agree that it doesn't look to be overfilled enough to be concerned.

Can't fall out once it's been crossthreaded with the impact.
