Yes, all of the symptoms you mention can be directly connected to a faulty MAF.

so i went ahead and swapped the sensors rode around about 2 days pulled the codes and got back the same exact codes except for the misfire this time. in fact it came from same bank # 2 even after swapping not sure why same one but at this point going start with changing out maf sensors and see what happens from there.

If it's on the same side, after swapping the MAF's, the MAF's are likely fine. The problem is something else, throttle bodies? Black Betty did a DIY on cleaning TB;s, I used it to do mine a couple of years ago. They weren't that dirty, but it's not a difficult job.

Ses still on

The light went off by itself for 2 days while old maf where on. I changed the sensors for new factory ones last night . This morning I turn on car the ses comes back so no change but why do the codes still blame it on maf!?
What do you guys recommend i try next the plugs alone or the plugs and all coils as well?

Did a ecu reset and the ses went out but I'm sure it will come on again. It's becoming difficult to track down the problem. HELP GUYS

If you are still getting MAF codes, but replaced both the MAFs, you likely have a harness issue or something related to the PCM (ECU). You could throw parts at the misfire, but its still not going to fix your MAF codes. You might need to find a decent shop and have them check out the wiring. You can tell them you already replaced both MAFs.

I agree, it's likely a wiring issue. When the MAF's were switched and the same code appeared on the same side, it indicated to me it was unlikely a MAF.

thank guys really a wiring issue? i was going to take it to stealership then i mean don't really have a decent shop in new York i know about. Supposedly the dealership can run a diagnostic and if i fix it with them they waive the $ 169 fee. anyone know a decent shop in ny maybe?

I am screwed

So guys after getting a complete diagnostic at the dealership they determined my catalytic converter is clogged. They claim there is back pressure. They are telling me that there is also a chance that the bad cat might caused damage to the intake manifold but they wouldn't know until they change the bad cat. This is really depressing news I've had this car for 8 yrs now and it really sucks that it had to come down to this. The car has 68k on it but the warranty expires at 80k or 8 yrs wtv comes 1st and unfortunately mine just expired in may 2018 only 3 months ago. They quoted me 2k to fix I don't even know if I should even bother at this point or just sell it and get a new car. HELP!!!.
Should I get a second opinion ? I mean wouldnt the dealer be the most accurate being that the have all necessary equipment to test this cars.

I can't for the life of me see how clogged cats can affect the intake manifold. Replace the cats at an exhaust shop, or buy used ones from our Classifieds, and see how the car runs.

thanks slartibartfast that's what I was thinking to get a salvaged one with low miles on it or something I am going definitely look around classifieds here as well appreciate input. As far intake you think I am good ? So hard trust this stealerships once your car is out warranties almost feel like they make stuff up just to get in your pockets

lesson learned never trust this dealerships even if after building trust and them treating you nicely throughout the whole experience but once your warranty is over they will try stick it to ya.

all along it was the spark plugs i should of known. reason i didn't change them is because they only had 68k on them but i guess they where on there for 8 yrs.

Everyday at start up there are 2-3 popping/sputter sounds coming from below the car and it goes away and runs normal for most part except high idle i can feel the car pulling when i have my foot on brake petal doesn't run extremely bad but not as good as it used to also it is consuming more gas than before. I have not changed spark plugs or coils yet. guy please help here what you suggest i do next? do not want to spend money on unnecessary stuff.

Is it true yo can test for a faulty maf sensor by unplugging it and if car doesn't shut off it means its indeed the sensor? because i tried that and my car kept running just started throwing sensor on in my dashboard but still kept on.

2010 Infiniti G37x 67k

steering fluid flush done
brake fluid flush done
antifreeze flush done
differential flush done
going to do transmission soon
I had a code for a MAF sensor P0106 so I cleaned the MAF sensors. I disconnected the battery while doing so and my car is acting possessed now. Just as described here. And a new engine code, P010C, which is still MAF sensor related. Maybe I ruined it cleaning it? I didn't bang them around or anything.

On a G37, a P0106 is for the MAP sensor, not MAF.
On some of the older G37s (2010 or 2011?) there is a TSB for this code, where the dealer will re-program the ECU.
