Anyone ever done a DIY Supercharger install? (NO KIT)
Obviously it makes the most SENSE to buy the entire Stillen or HKS supercharger or kit... but has anyone finessed their engineering skills and just picked up a Vortech V-3 and got the supporting parts as they went along?

Not on this car but I have on my track m3. It took mor we time having to fab up things like brackets mounts and lines vs using a box kit. Still have to do custom tune either way

Full disclosure: I'm speaking in regards to what I've read and watched.
That said, it appears much better than the...stock(?) Stillen set-up. Wish I could remember the info with the rear mounted turbo. I think the owner was running somewhere in the 600 whp range? Pretty awesome for somethin he threw together through trial and error.
