Rough downshifting 09 g37x

Somtimes my downshifts are very rough. Not all the time but I have noticed more recently that somtimes when downshifting, the car makes a sort or clunking or thumping noise. It is most noticeable when I have to brake hard then speed up again. Again it is a rare occurrence, but it happens enough for me to worry about. The noise is only for a split second, it kind of sounds like another problem I have had with the car, when I would put it into drive when,it was cold, sometimes it would make a thumping noise. Fixed now. It somtimes happens just randomly when coming to a stop very slowly but it happens more when I brake hard and speed up. It is not an Everyday thing. I have had the car for 3 years and it has always done this but it seems like it is more frequent. I could just be over thinking it. It seems like it is either the torque converter making noise as it has to decide what to do or maybe even something with diff? I just hope it is nothing serious. Should I go to dealer? In at 126k so I don't want to pay the 135 and have them say they could not find anything lol. Thanks.

I have the same problem in my 2010 G37 Sedan. Did you ever figure out what it was? I have all the latest ECM and TCM updates too.

The updates fixed the issue for me. Have you changed your transmission fluid?
